PSG players will have the words “Tous unis’ (All united) and” Merci “(Thanks) on their kit to show appreciation for healthcare professionals.

Le Havre: For the first time since the coronavirus closed sports and kicked out spectators, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and other stars will return to thousands of fans singing their praises on Sunday.

A performance game on Sunday evening between the starred team of Paris Saint-Germain and the French team of the League 2 Le Havre will be the first meeting in front of the fans to present one of the elite clubs of Europe since the outbreak broke out.

Only 5,000 people will be admitted into the 25,000-seat Stade Oceane in Le Havre. Spectators will have to wear masks to enter the arena and will be kept separate in the stands and in each row at the entrance.

Paris players will have the words “All united“(All united) and”thank you“(Thanks) on their kit to show appreciation for healthcare professionals.

Of the top five leagues in Europe, only France is bringing spectators back to football stadiums. Germany has ended its season without fans, but the league and clubs are exploring plans to play 2020-2020 with fans. The game resumed without fans in Spain, England and Italy.

France stopped its league and never restarted it following its outbreak. The return of fans comes when the death toll in the country has exceeded 30,000 and among the growing concerns of a possible second wave of infections. Football matches are accused of helping to accelerate the initial spread of the pandemic across Europe. In Serbia, the games played in front of thousands of fans, despite the pandemic, were followed last month by the players and the Red Star CEO Belgrade who proved positive for the coronavirus.

The 24-man team chosen by Parisian coach Thomas Tuchel includes the stars of the club’s marquee, which are preparing after four months of inactivity for their last competitive games of the season. PSG will play the finals of the French Cup and the League Cup later this month and the Champions League quarter-finals in August.
