The National Basketball Association has appointed Oris Stuart as Chief People and Inclusion Officer, has announced the championship.

Stuart, who spent time at the Korn Ferry executive consulting firm before joining the NBA in 2015, will report to Bob Criqui, president of the NBA administration, and begin his role on August 15. Stuart is one of the 31 blacks employed by the league office in a vice president or superior position.

The recently published Racial and Gender 2020 report card mimics the NBA’s strong marks for 2019. While receiving an A-plus for racial recruitment in general, the NBA still maintains an F when it comes to hiring and hiring racial women for team presidents and CEOs.
