New Englander Casey Leonard is a makeup artist and amateur golfer.
Leonard’s Instagram, kctrickshotz, shows him mainly while practicing on the green. If he’s not there, Leonard could score while he’s in the bathroom, using eggs as golf balls or using golf balls to blow out the candles. But this viral clip has little to do with golf – at least at first glance. Here’s a tip, the athlete subtitled this “Faseketball” stunt.
Leonard has put a soccer ball on the baseball stand and is holding a baseball bat, but he is not on a diamond field. Leonard is standing on the grassy outskirts of a basketball court. The chassis is so far away that you can barely distinguish it.
So Leonard swings and connects the club with the football: score! This is one way of translating those golf skills into another sport. The scammer’s video has collected over 22,000 views on Instagram.
“The goal on the field is a three-pointed home run !!!” a user wrote.
“So sick, my friend. Three-sport combos are the best, haha, ”said another.
“Dude, this is one of your best yet!” someone wrote.
While Leonard’s method may seem unconventional, using a baseball swing to improve golf swing is a common practice. Many golfers incorporate the same principles as baseball in terms of position, pace, weight shift and release into their training.
