Stay essentially free of charge at the Sandman Hotel during Stampede Week

CALGARY – The Sandman Hotel Group can’t be stopped from the fact that the lack of a full Calgary Stampede this year is stopping them from celebrating.

As part of the launch of the newly renovated Sandman Signature Calgary Downtown with 294 rooms, the rooms will be offered essentially free of charge during Stampede’s 10 days.

Room rates were reduced to $ 75 a night. Guests booking between July 3rd and 12th will receive a $ 75 AMEX card to cover in-room, in-room meals, or city-wide expenses.

“Knowing that 2020 was a difficult year for everyone in the world. We wanted to lift people’s spirits, celebrate the launch of this new brand, and be part of the Stampede spirit,” said Alisha Reynolds, vice president of the Sandman Hotel Group.

“We now believe that more than yesterday, Canadian businesses, families, and individuals really need to get together and support communities and organizations.”

The Canadian-owned hotel added cleaning and disinfection protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic, Reynolds said, and wants to offer guests “a completely touchless experience.”

Capacity is also limited in public areas.

The stampede was canceled this year due to the health requirements related to the pandemic. However, fewer events will take place on the site.

On July 4th and 5th, a food truck rally will take place in Stampede Park from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

On July 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th and 11th, a mini donut transit will take place in Stampede Park, which is open from 12:00 to 21:00. Participants must buy a ticket online that will give them two tickets to Sneak-a – Search for the Calgary Stampede 2021.

On July 8, the BMO Kids’ Day includes a drive through to the pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free, but requires an online pre-registration.
