In lakes, in rivers, in the sea – everywhere you can see people standing on boards in the water. Stand-up paddling (SUP), stand-up paddling, is the trend sport of the summer. Sonni Hönscheid, 39, originally a professional surfer, started more than 15 years ago. In 2009 she won her first World Cup race; From 2014 to 2016 she won the renowned long-distance race in Hawaii three times: 51.49 kilometers on the open sea. She is Germany’s most successful stand-up paddler.
