Sources: Pacer’s Domantas Sabonis leaves the NBA bubble to treat foot injury

Indiana Pacers All-Star striker Domantas Sabonis is leaving the NBA bubble in Orlando, Florida, with a serious left foot injury to seek specialist treatment, according to ESPN sources.

Sabonis, who attempted to fight plantar fasciitis, hopes to join the Orlando team, but could lose the rest of the season, sources said.

The Pacers may lose his two best players – Sabonis and Victor Oladipo — before the team restarts next week. Oladipo could still give up on the season, even if he participated in the tests and the first Pacers victory that touched Portland.

Sabonis, 24, was chosen for his first NBA All-Star game this season. He has signed a four-year extension of the $ 75 million contract that will begin with the start of next season.

Sabonis has averaged 18.5 points, 12.4 rebounds and five assists this season for Indiana.
