Trond Sollied is going to make a surprising transfer. Norwegian media report that the 61-year-old coach will return to Norwegian top club Rosenborg.
There, Sollied created a furore 22 years ago and AA Ghent picked him out. After a good period in the former Otten Stadium, Club Brugge convinced him to sign for them. Sollied stayed there for five years. After that it went less well with his career.
Sollied was subsequently trainer of Olympiacos, back AA Gent, sc Heerenveen, Al-Ahli Jeddah, Lierse SK, back AA Gent, Elazigspor and his passage at Sporting Lokeren was his last achievement as a trainer. At Rosenborg he can therefore return to his roots.
