Seven Liverpool youngsters who will follow Trent Alexander-Arnold and could become the first team superstars next season

They may be Premier League champions, but it looks like Liverpool won’t be winning well-known players as they try to defend their crown next season.

The Reds are associated with greats like Kalidou Koulibaly, Thiago Alcantara, Jadon Sancho and Kylian Mbappe, but manager Jürgen Klopp has almost confirmed that none of them will be coming to Anfield soon.

The coronavirus pandemic has affected Liverpool’s finances, and Klopp believes he already has many young talents in his ranks to help the club maintain its dominance.

He said, “We can’t spend millions and millions because we want to or we think it’s nice to do that. We never wanted that.

“We want to strengthen this squad and this squad is strong.

“The problem with a strong squad is how to improve a strong squad in the transfer market.

Ally McCoist says Liverpool’s title win should either not have an asterisk or TWO!

“Of course it works with money, that’s possible. But it never only works with money.

“You have to be creative and we try to be creative. We’re trying to find solutions internally, and there is still a lot to do: we have three or four players who can take big steps. “

This may disappoint some Liverpool fans, but it could be a fantastic opportunity for some of their Academy players to join the first team.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is now a great superstar given his chance at Anfield, and talkSPORT.com has selected seven Reds prodigies to follow his lead and shine next season …

Rhian Brewster

He has made a handful of appearances for Liverpool’s first team but still has to do this at Anfield at senior level.

However, the striker has a productive loan in Swansea in the championship and has scored six goals in 13 league games, including a double in a win in Middlesbrough in June.

There are clearly high hopes for the 20-year-old Brewster. Klopp and Steven Gerrard, who coached Brewster in his short time as manager of Liverpool’s U18 team, spoke highly of him.

Leighton Clarkson

A relatively unknown quantity before he got his chance to repeat the fourth round of the FA Cup against Shrewsbury, there are now high hopes for the midfielder, 18.

Liverpool used their youngest team against the League One team in February, but won 1-0 to the delight of Anfield believers.

Clarkson played well at the time and also shone during a friendly against Blackburn. Liverpool won 6-0, Clarkson scored after teasing the Rovers defense with brilliant skills and a composed finish.

Harvey Elliott

Not surprisingly, the youngest player in Premier League history can do great in his career. Don’t be surprised that he will have more chances next season.

Elliott played the full 90 minutes of Liverpool’s three Carabao Cup games and also played a major role in three of Liverpool’s four FA Cup games this season, including the memorable win over Shrewsbury.

He may be only 17 now, but the winger is considered someone who plays with style beyond his years.

Elliott is already a hero in the eyes of many Liverpool fans after it turned out that he had refused the chance to shake hands with Sergio Ramos when Real Madrid tried to take him for the Spaniard’s role in Mohamed Salah’s injury in the Champions League final To be committed in 2018.

Ki-Jana Hoever

It’s a little surprising that he only played three games this season after doing his senior bow for Liverpool last season and performing well last season.

The defender, who can play as a right-back or center-back, scored in one of these goals when Liverpool passed MK Dons in the Carabao Cup earlier this season.

It recently turned out that Joel Matip was injured for the rest of this season. The title could be the first appearance in the Premier League for the 18-year-old.

Curtis Jones

If you’re an attacking Liverpool midfielder trying to get into the Reds’ first team, fans will automatically see how they compare to club legend Steven Gerrard.

This pressure will increase for Jones after Liverpool defeated rival Everton in the third round of the FA Cup this season.

19-year-old Jones has played eight games for Liverpool this season – as captain in the win over Shrewsbury – and is so close to playing a decent number of games with the senior team.

He rips it up for the U23 squad, scoring three goals in a 7-0 win over Napoli in the UEFA Youth League and an eight-minute triple in the Premier League Cup win over Sunderland this season.

Yasser Larouci

James Milner is a stable choice to play left-back when Andy Robertson is injured, but the June Everton tie shows that a faster option is needed to achieve the forward runs that Klopp has demanded from his full-backs.

Adam Lewis was part of this heroic effort against Shrewsbury, but we believe 19-year-old Larouci will have more chances next season.

The Algerian played in the FA Cup win over Everton and in a draw in Shrewsbury, which led to the win over them in the replay at Anfield.

Neco Williams

It’s a shame that he plays in the same position as Trent Alexander-Arnold, because the most exciting child prodigy in Liverpool is Welshman Williams.

The 19-year-old has played six games for Liverpool and has shown his love for a duel, his eye for a pass and his wonderful ability to dig up a dangerous flank from the right. He was Liverpool’s best player in defeating Shrewsbury.

Williams bowed to Liverpool’s 4-0 win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League and did not look out of place in his 16-minute cameo.
