Sabrina Ionescu channels Steph Curry with a shot in the middle of the field, a shiny celebration

There are strict rules within the NBA’s Orlando bubble, with the accentuation of social distancing. This does not change the fact that there are hundreds of players nearby.

Recruitment, better known as tampering, could be at the highest level. Milwaukee Bucks general manager Jon Horst isn’t worried when it comes to his superstar, Giannis Antetokounmpo.

“Zero,” said Horst, through ESPN’s Eric Woodyard, when asked about his concerns when it comes to recruiting Giannis. “We can only control what we can control. If we consider tampering or recruiting or whatever it is, in our league people talk, people are connected, people have relationships.

“At the end of the day, I have full confidence in my personal relationship, in the relationship of our league, in the relationship of our coach, in the relationship of his teammate with Giannis in what we are doing and what we are doing.”

Antetokounmpo, 25, is not a free agent until after next season, but is eligible for a supermax contract worth over $ 250 million at the end of this season. If the Bucks offer him that megadeal and reject it, it may be time to move on and see what the Bucks can receive in a successful trade.

One team that will not be in close contact with Giannis is the Warriors, who are not part of the NBA restart. The 2019 NBA MVP has a close relationship with the Golden State star Steph Curry and rumors have spread over Antetokounmpo becoming the next star in San Francisco. In the blink of an eye, the Warriors could move from Kevin Durant to Giannis as Steph’s new co-star.

Winning a championship would obviously help the Bucks’ chances of keeping Giannis in Milwaukee, and it would also cost a lot for the acquisition by the Warriors. Golden State should probably get rid of Klay Thompson and more, but Antetokounmpo is a really rare talent who hasn’t even come close to his ceiling. With a plethora of draft choices and coveted players, the Warriors may have the best commercial package for Giannis, but it won’t be cheap.

For now, though, Horst isn’t shaking his knees in any way. He is focused on a championship and has every right to believe that Giannis will be a Buck for a long, long time.
