Valentino Rossi admitted he finally met a moment when he no longer had much power in negotiations with Yamaha at the event MotoGP.
Rossi is in the process of negotiating with Yamaha regarding the possibility of Rossi competing in the Yamaha Petronas satellite team in MotoGP 2021. In the process, Rossi claimed his strength in negotiations was not as great as before.
“We are talking about my team because Quartararo will also change teams and there will be many changes like chess.”
“For this reason, negotiations still need time to settle. Going to the manufacturer’s team, Fabio Quartararo will be the first to choose, I no longer have the power to make decisions,” Rossi said as quoted by GPOne.

Rossi also considers the reduced strength in the negotiation process as a natural thing.
“I have no problems in this matter. This point makes me understand many things. I know that continuing my career means that it takes more effort than me, but my current career period makes it easier for me to make decisions,” said the 41-year-old racer that year.
Even though Quartararo will have priority, Rossi ensures that Dvaid Munoz, the current Chief Mechanical Officer will still follow him.

“Of course David will come with me while the others are still being decided. Of course there will be exchanges, big or small,” Rossi said.
