Roger Federer in Wimbledon or Usain Bolt in the Olympics?

Welcome to the ESPN fan vote, where you, readers and sports fans, will decide which individual or team was the most dominant in the 21st century.

In our second quarter final, we undoubtedly have the greatest tennis player of all time who confronts the most dominant sprinter of all time.

(Please vote in the poll at the bottom of this page to decide the winner.)

Roger Federer at Wimbledon (2003-2007)

Roger Federer’s breakthrough into a major came when he won his first Grand Slam title at Wimbledon in 2003 at the age of 21. The victory followed his rapid rise, immediately after which he was classified for the first time in the world n. 1 in February 2004. Such was his domination that eventually held the position for 237 consecutive weeks.

During that time, it was his invincibility on the grass that stood out, while he won a staggering 65 straight games on the surface. His silky forerunners and effortless gusts allowed him to win every edition of Wimbledon from 2003 to 2007, becoming only the second man after Bjorn Borg to win five consecutive titles in the Open era championships.

Usain Bolt at the Olympics (2008-2016)

Usain Bolt – the fastest man in the world, a record he has held for 13 years – is the most dominant sprinter of all time.

Here are the facts: he won 100m and 200m in three consecutive Olympics, the only person in history to achieve this feat. Include the relays and it has eight Olympic gold medals. Between 2009 and 2015, he won the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay in all the world championships (except for a disqualification for a false start in 2011). His 11 golds for the world championship are more than anyone else in history.

In this period, he ran (without pun intended) where he won 17 consecutive finals 200m and 14 consecutive 100m. He broke the 100m record three times, the 200m record twice and the 4x100m relay recorded three times.

And it made it all seem as easy as running in the park.
