Linebacker Markus Golden has until July 22 to find a contender where he will play 2020 as part of a $ 4.125 million one-year contract with the Giants.
On April 27, the Giants placed the unrestricted free tender on Golden.
Ralph Vacchiano of SNY reports that “there is no indication that another team is interested in signing it for more than that.”
It seems pretty clear that Golden will return to the Giants, knowing that he has spent more than three months as a free agent. Team lists are defined for the most part and space for many is limited.
Golden, 29, signed a $ 3.75 million contract with the Giants a year ago. He made 10 sacks, the second best mark in his career, starting the 16 games for the first time in his career.
The Cardinals’ second round pick in 2015, Golden has 191 tackles, 29 sacks and six fumbles during his five seasons.
