New York Giants cornerback partner DeAndre Baker and Seattle Seahawks cornerback partner Quinton Dunbar worked with players in a cover-up that paid four victims of an alleged armed robbery on May 13 for give false statements, according to a report by Pat Leonard of New York Daily News.

Dominic Johnson is said to have helped orchestrate a payment of $ 55,000 to the four alleged victims, with Baker appearing to have provided the funds.

The information was reported by Leonard through a warrant obtained through a request for public records in Florida.

In a direct Instagram post, Johnson appears to be bragging about forcing victims to make false statements two days after the theft following a payment at the office of Dunbar’s attorney, Michael Grieco.

“We are all going to the lawyer now to drop the charges. I asked them to sign the papers,” Johnson wrote, Leonard said. “I got the same n —- s who said they were stolen to say they didn’t have it … The same n —- s who were stolen, I told them have had this st fixed. “

Johnson also allegedly sent direct messages to Baker before payment, telling the Giants’ defender to go to Dunbar’s attorney’s office, to which Baker replied, “I’m in town now receiving how much money. to bring ??”

Images of money changing hands were captured on video cameras.

By Leonard:

“The new warrant indicates that in the video, Grieco is seen leaving his 24th floor office, taking the elevator to the lobby and bringing Johnson and the four alleged victims to his office at 2:26 pm.

“Johnson finally leaves the office and meets an unknown person in the hall, according to the warrant. And then Johnson and the unknown person take the elevator from the hall at 2:34 pm.

“During this elevator ride, the stranger removes a” black bag “from his shoulders,” opens it and takes money away. “The person” also shows the bag open to Johnson and you can see a large amount of ‘money. Johnson then takes the bag, “said the warrant.”

Leonard payments were allegedly made to the alleged victims in the amount of $ 30,000, $ 20,000 and $ 5,000, the latter amount being shared with a fourth alleged victim.

An alleged victim made a statement about what allegedly happened in Grieco’s office, saying “that he was told not to see what he thought he saw”.

Dunbar’s lawyer submitted statements in which the alleged victims retracted their original statements later today, the warrant said:

“05/15/20, Michael Grieco, lawyer for Dunbar, contacted me, stating that the victims and the witness had retracted their affidavits / taped against Dunbar. However, I also want the court to know that the five individuals were threatened and told about their safety concerns. One individual was forced to leave his apartment. The other received text messages containing photos of his passport, the same passport stolen during the theft. “

One of the alleged victims said there was “no way” Grieco did not see the transaction happen.

Baker’s lawyer Bradford Cohen has denied the allegations.

“DeAndre said from day one that it was an extortion scene,” Cohen told TMZ. “Nothing of this day has changed. All texts by [Baker] these extortionists were made to keep them on the hook, as we informed the authorities of this extortion as soon as money was requested.

“DeAndre was with his lawyers, including myself, on the day in question and I was in contact with the authorities at the same time of the extortion request. We have no affidavits of the alleged victims. Our affidavits come from independent witnesses. “

Neither the local police in Miramar, Florida, nor the state attorney’s office provided Leonard with any comments.

The NFL is conducting its own investigation and has told Leonard that the matter is still under investigation.
