Real Madrid ask their fans not to go to Cibeles

Real Madrid, through an official statement, asked its partners and fans on Tuesday not to go to the Plaza de Cibeles to celebrate the League title in the event that the white team wins it to avoiding coronavirus “spread risks”.

The entity chaired by Florentino Pérez recalled that everyone is “aware” of the situation and of the effort that society “is making” to combat the effects of the pandemic caused by the coronavirus. In addition, he added that football “contributes to it” and highlights that “among all” it has been possible to recover the competition in a “hugely complex” context.

“If it were the circumstance that Real Madrid were proclaimed champion, our players would not go to the traditional venues, especially to the Plaza de Cibeles, so we also ask our partners and fans that, in the event that the championship could be won, they should not go to these places either. In this sense, we must all contribute, as until now, with absolute responsibility to avoid risks of contagion from the pandemic, “said the white club in its statement.

Responsibility

«Real Madrid thanks in advance for the understanding of our partners and fans. All the effort and work of our players, the coaching staff and the club for the possible achievement of a title are always aimed at sharing it with our fans, but we are aware that the times we are living oblige us to take the necessary precautionary measures“He added.

Likewise, he made it clear that the Madrid entity feels obliged to carry out “this important appeal” in an exercise of “maximum responsibility” and with the conviction that “Any possible win” for Real Madrid should not be a huge step back in everyone’s fight against this pandemic.
