Professional cyclist Maximilian Schachmann has extended his expiring contract at the Bora-hansgrohe racing team by four years. The 26-year-old had established himself among the world leaders in the past two years, before the Corona break he won the traditional Paris – Nice tour. The current German champion, who came from the Belgian team Deceuninck-Quick Step in early 2019, has made a name for itself in the past, especially in one-day races and smaller tours. In the future, he also wants to succeed on large tours. At the Tour de France (from August 29th) Schachmann is a helper to the German hope Emanuel Buchmann (Ravensburg). In addition to Schachmann, the Austrian Lukas Pöstlberger and the Italian Cesare Benedetti each extended their contracts by two years.
