A look at what’s going on around European football on Friday:

FRANCE

Paris Saint-Germain can complete a third national triple in six seasons with a win against Lyon in the League Cup final. PSG beat Saint-Étienne 1-0 to win the French Cup last Friday. But the victory proved costly in another way, as striker Kylian Mbappé suffered an ankle injury which excluded him for about three weeks. PSG won the highs in 2015, ’16 and ’18. The Memphis Depay returns to Captain Lyon six months after the knee ligament rupture. The victory would have put Lyon in the Europa League next season. Depay was among the best players in the league before his injury and scored 14 goals in 18 games. A maximum of 5,000 fans will be admitted to the Stade de France due to coronavirus restrictions. Only 2,805 entered last week’s final.
