Djokovic has since apologized for organizing the event and promised to follow the rules from now on in quarantine for 14 days.

“Our tournament was meant to unite and share a message of solidarity and compassion across the region.
“The Tour was designed to help both established and emerging Southeast European tennis players gain access to some competitive tennis while the various tours are suspended due to the Covid-19 situation.
“It all started with a philanthropic idea, to direct all the funds raised towards people in need, and it warmed my heart to see how everyone responded strongly to this.
