Phillies-Blue Jays series postponed – MLB trade rumors

The planned weekend series between the Phillies and Blue Jays has been postponed, skipper Charlie Montoyo from Toronto tells reporters like Ben Nicholson-Smith from Sportsnet.ca (via Twitter). For now, the Jays will be stuck in DC, waiting for more words after completing their series with the Nats.

This contributes to an MLB planning stack that is still being built, and which requires increasingly complicated adjustments in the off-season. The hope was that the Marlins’ COVID-19 outbreak would stay in this club. But it turned out this morning that two non-player members of the Phillies organization had contracted infections.

Since two teams are pausing, the planned opponents are also on hold. In this case, the jays and nats can actually wait in the same place. There is still no word on whether the league will somehow attempt to host competitions between these two organizations to keep track of games.
