Pacant ‘Domantas Sabonis leaves the NBA bubble to treat foot injury

Indiana Pacers All-Star striker Domantas Sabonis is leaving the NBA bubble in Orlando, Florida to receive medical treatment for plantar fasciitis in his left foot, the team announced on Friday.

Sabonis, who attempted to get through the injury, hopes to rejoin the Orlando team, but could lose the rest of the season, according to ESPN sources.

Pacers may lose their two best players – Sabonis and Victor Oladipo — before the team restarts next week. Oladipo could still give up on the season, although he participated in rehearsals and played in Pacer’s first scrimmage win over Portland on Thursday.

Sabonis, 24, was chosen for his first NBA All-Star game this season. He has signed a four-year extension of the $ 75 million contract that will begin early next season.

Sabonis has averaged 18.5 points, 12.4 rebounds and five assists this season for Indiana.
