A statistic reveals that Manchester United has indeed benefited VAR significantly in the 2019/2020 Premier League. But MU is not the most benefited.

The statistics raised by ESPN, which reviews the whereabouts of VAR in the Premier League 2019/2020. In addition to the controversy, VAR has also affected no fewer than 109 goals or incidents this season. Of these there are 27 events which then lead to goals, while on the other hand there are 56 decisions that lead to disallowed goals.

A total of 22 penalties were decided by VAR, with nine of them failing to convert the executor. There are also 34 goals disallowed by VAR due to offside. There are also 9 red cards from the VAR decision and the other three are annulled by VAR.

Liverpool, the Premier League champions this season, were teased with LiVARpool because they were considered to have often benefited by VAR specifically in the first half of the season.

After that there was also another insinuation for Manchester United related to VAR for the same reason. Varchester United and Penchester United emerged, because there were those who thought Man United often benefited from VAR and got a penalty.

From data ESPN, Manchester United apparently looks to benefit from VAR this season. If added to the list, Man United is in second place.

In other words, the Red Devils did benefit from VAR but were not the team that benefited the most from the referee’s video technology. Apparently, it was Brighton who benefited the most from VAR decisions in the 2019/2020 Premier League.

The classification of the ESPN data itself does not include VAR references that support the initial judgment of the field court. The data is also only related to the decision annulled by VAR, so the penalty request decided by the referee does not enter.

In its classification, ESPN mentioned that Brighton on average became the most teams that could benefit from VAR in the 2019/2020 Premier League with +8 points. MU is in second place with +7 points.

There are 10 VAR results in favor of Brighton and Manchester United, most among the other teams. Brighton had two VAR results in favor of the opposing team while MU recorded three decisions in favor of the opposing fort.

The following is a list of average Premier League teams, after including VAR decisions in favor of their team and the opposing team, as summarized ESPN:
