Milwaukee Bucks guard Eric Bledsoe tested positive for COVID-19, according to Yahoo Sports’s Chris Haynes. It is asymptomatic.
Bledsoe is not currently with the Orlando team. Haynes says Bledsoe hopes to get to Orlando “as soon as possible” once he meets the league’s requirements to be in the Disney World bubble.
Bledsoe averaged 15.4 points and 5.4 assists in 56 games this season, firing 48.2% off the field and 34.8% in 3-point attempts. He wasted time early in the season with a fractured right fibula, but recovered to become a borderline All-Star candidate.
Bledsoe went to Instagram to send a message to his followers, urging them to wear masks and stay safe in the midst of the pandemic.
If Bledsoe loses the game, security guard George Hill will likely take on a wider role. Hill has averaged 9.6 points and 2.9 assists in 52 games this season.
