Martin Kaymer: “It is bitter for us Europeans”

Er was number one in the world, winning two majors with the PGA Championship (2010) and the US Open (2014). But most recently it went down for Germany’s flagship golfer Martin Kaymer, 35. Due to a weak year in 2019, he lost his unrestricted license for the PGA tour and dropped to position 117 in the world rankings.

WORLD ON SUNDAY: Golfers on the PGA Tour have been playing tournaments again since mid-June and collect world ranking points while the European Tour is still at rest. How much does that distort the competition?
