Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has admitted that Manchester United Jadon Sancho can leave the club this season, but only if they get exactly what they want for him.

The 20-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League after another impressive season with Dortmund in the Bundesliga.

Manchester United has emerged as its most likely destination, but Manchester City and Liverpool have been credited with an interest in England, which has scored 20 goals this season in all competitions.

The German club wants to hold it tight, but the vultures are turning in a circle and Dortmund know that a return to England is almost certain at some point for the talented winger.

A price of € 120 million (£ 107 million) has been slapped on Sancho and Dortmund insists that it would take that amount to sign it and it should also be done at a time suitable for them.

“Jadon has a valid contract with us and we will be very happy if he is still with us next season,” Zorc told the German publication Waz.

“To think about anything else, the timing should be right and secondly, our pricing expectations should be 100% met.”

Sancho has a contract in Dortmund until 2022 and it does not seem likely that he will sign a new agreement in the club, so if they don’t cash in this summer, they will surely have to do it next year.

Zorc wishes to avoid changes in the wing of England due to the coronavirus crisis and the economic uncertainty that has ensued.

Sancho is undoubtedly one of the world’s brightest young talent and Dortmund will be hated to accept anything less than £ 100 million for his signing.

They are preparing for life without him, however, with the knowledge that United, or another suitor, could very well set aside the money for Sancho.

“If Jadon leaves, we will make additions to our attack department,” Zorc told Kicker. “There’s definitely one or the other players on our radar.”
