Manchester United has entered a potential crisis after Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes were injured in a collision on the training grounds.
The two midfielders are doubtful for Saturday’s game with Bournemouth in Old Trafford and will have to pause when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer finishes in the top four in both the Europa League and FA Cup.
The accidental collision occurred when Pogba met his teammate when Solskjaer put his team through their paces in Carrington.
Both men were taken away for treatment – Fernandes seemed worse.
United refused to comment on a situation that could affect Solskjaer’s selection against the relegation-prone cherries in less than 24 hours.
It is a blow that could not have come at a worse time for the Reds, because big games come close and fast.

Pogba and Fernandes joined forces impressively when United defeated Brighton 3-0 on Tuesday and extended their undefeated run to 15 games.
Fernandes, who signed a £ 47m contract with Sporting Lisbon in January, continued his impressive form with a double at Amex Stadium.
And the arrival of the Portuguese at the club brought Pogba to life after a season with an ankle injury that required surgery.
Solskjaer has reinstated the French world champion in his team since the resumption of the season.

And the United boss hoped that his two creative talents would help bring his team to cutlery and the Champions League.
United are currently fifth in the table, two points behind Chelsea and three points behind third-placed Leicester, six games to go.
They will also face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-finals and have a foot in the last eight Europa League games after defeating LASK 5-0 before the lockdown.
