Liverpool doubt to take part in the Community Shield. Premier League champions 2019/2020 seem to want to take advantage of longer vacation time.
Community Shield is an event that is held before the English League kick-off. The teams that appear are league winners and FA Cup winners. Liverpool as league champions await opponents between Arsenal or Chelsea who fight in the FA Cup final on Saturday (1/8/2020).
The Community Shield 2020 event is scheduled for August 29 at Wembley Stadium. This match can also be a test of the return of supporters to the stadium before being applied to the league.
However, according to the report The Sun, the FA does not yet want to confirm Liverpool’s participation. The FA only stated that competitors will be announced next week – and not yet 100 percent sure that the Reds will be involved.
The Sun also revealed that a draft press release confirming match details was changed. The name Liverpool was temporarily removed, while Arsenal and Chelsea were saved as replacements for Juergen Klopp’s team.
Liverpool are suspected of not wanting to take part because the team’s vacation time will be shorter than usual. Liverpool have also not yet distributed match details to supporters, and there seems to be uncertainty about participation in this event.

“We have to prove ourselves in the course of the season, not just in one match. This is the final. This is the first time I realize that no one sees this fight like that, honestly,” added Klopp.
