Although far-reaching rumors suggest that Liverpool would make a move to Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara, ESPN reports that there is no interest from Rossi for the 29-year-old.
According to the report, which cites ESPN sources, Liverpool never had any interest in Thiago, citing wages, age, injury records and the fact that it doesn’t fit Klopp’s style, which is notoriously high intensity and athletically demanding, like problems for any potential business.
Thiago is a technically gifted midfielder who plays with art and creativity. It’s not built in the central midfielder’s Klopp mold, says ESPN.
The report also says that no major purchases will be signed this summer without a high profile player leaving the club. With no major releases planned, this leaves Liverpool watching a silent transfer window.
