Limited public return to the stands during friendly matches

Three hundred spectators, masks and various protective measures against the Covid-19: the friendly matches between Chambly and Boulogne (1-1) as well as between Caen and Paris FC (1-0), on Saturday, allowed the return of the football public in France, 4 months after the end of competitions.

FC Chambly (L2) and UBSCO (National) released on Saturday afternoon the new health protocol for sports meetings to combat the spread of the coronavirus: gauge limited to 5,000 people maximum in the stands, safety distance of 1, 5 meter between supporters and compulsory direction of circulation in the stands, in particular. In Gouvieux (Oise), the Senlis sub-prefecture had fixed the gauge at 300 spectators. As expected, those present in the stands respected the wearing of the mandatory mask. The public around the handrail, for whom the mask was only recommended, for the most part maintained social distancing during the 90 minutes.

Chambly and Boulogne left back to back on the score of 1-1, the USBCO having rather dominated the debates. For its part, SM Caen (L2) lost 1 to 0 against Paris FC (L2) at home, with a goal by Florian Martin in the 28th, in front of around 300 spectators in an annex stadium which can contain 1,200 . “We are happy, for 2-3 months that we have not seen them, even if it hurts the heart that there are not many people in the stands. In the game, there is a bit of waste, it’s normal, it’s only just started ”soberly analyzes Serge Pain, a 69 year old SM Caen supporter.

“It’s going very well, everyone is wearing a mask. There is a sense of circulation in the gallery. ”

Calm atmosphere and a bit messy game, but the main thing is elsewhere: “It’s going very well, everyone is wearing a mask. There is a sense of circulation in the gallery. There are two empty seats between each person or family home in the gallery, and a distance of 1.50 m around the handrail. We have made gel available in several places. ” explains Matthieu Gonet, the press secretary of SM Caen. Sunday is the turn of the tenor of League 1 to make his comeback in front of his supporters in the flesh: Paris SG faces Le Havre at 19:00, with 5,000 people expected at the Océane stadium.
