The largest video bulletin board in professional sports is ready for its unveiling.

The National Football League announced Wednesday that the Oculus video dashboard at SoFi Stadium is now complete. The 360-foot dual-sided 4K video card weighs approximately 2.2 million pounds and has 70,000 square feet of digital LED lighting. The dashboard also has more than 260 speakers included in the structure, according to the NFL.

“It is three times the size of the [Dallas] The Cowboys video panel, not that we compete with them on that, “said Kevin Demoff, Rams director of operations, at CNBC in September 2019. The SoFi stadium, which is slated to open for the NFL 2020 season, will be shared by Los Angeles Rams and chargers.

The Rams refused to provide the cost of the dashboard when CNBC reached it. Built in 2009, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ video board at the AT&T stadium cost $ 40 million.

Prior to the Rams scoreboard, the Atlanta Falcons claimed to have the largest professional sports video table at the $ 1.5 billion Mercedes Benz stadium. In 2017, the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League, belonging to Apollo Global Management co-founder Josh Harris, announced that they had built the largest bulletin board in the Prudential Center arena.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Rams owner Stan Kroenke funded SoFi Stadium, which has a $ 5 billion price tag that could potentially overshadow $ 10 billion. The complex will also have a 5G communication network and high-speed WiFi to offer faster speeds. Digital ticketing will be provided by Ticketmaster via its SafeTix product.

“Our fans are waiting for a premium tech experience and they are going to get it,” said Demoff.

The Hollywood Park campus surrounding the stadium will also include retail and office space and will be the new home of the NFL Media and NFL Network properties from 2021.

SoFi Stadium is also expected to host the Super Bowl in 2022, the NCAA National Football Playoff Championship in 2023, and the events of the 2028 Summer Olympics.
