New Orleans Pelicans star Brandon Ingram took to the pitch during Thursday’s inaugural game of the NBA’s restart against Utah Jazz, and people noticed.
That is, Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant, whom Ingram has been physically compared to with his 190 lb 6’7 “chassis:

Ingram has not always compared favorably to Durant beyond this, but his offensive game has continued to grow, to the point that the choice of the draw no. 2 of 2016 came on Thursday with an average of 24.3 points per game. And at the time of publication, the 22-year-old had 15 half-time points against Jazz, shooting 6 out of 11 from the field and 2 out of 4 from deep.
If Ingram continues to shoot well from the perimeter – it is 38.7 percent from the season – it will be impossible to protect with the ability to score at all three levels. That would be terribly similar to the dilemma that defenses face Durant.
