Justin Anderson sheds light on his mysterious network status

The networks have been tighter than the CIA on Justin Anderson. But the young striker shed some light on his status, saying he quarantines himself in Orlando with expectations of rejoining the team when he is eliminated.

Anderson went to the Virginia basketball podcast “J Willy Show” on Monday and accepted congratulations on joining the nets. Of course, they haven’t signed it yet; but considering that he receives daily practice updates from Joe Harris and is allegedly replacing Wilson Chandler, it’s hard to believe that a deal isn’t coming.

“I just arrived in Orlando (Sunday), following the protocol. I had a negative test, waiting for the next result. I have to get another one, ”said Anderson, 27, currently quarantined in a hotel in the Orlando area.

“Very strict protocol, but it’s worth it just to make sure that getting into the bubble is all clean and clear for everyone who is already there, and also for myself. So I went back to Orlando right now. “

Anderson spent most of the season in the G League, first with the Toronto Raptors affiliate 905 and then with the Long Island Nets. He earned an average of 20.6 points and 6.6 rebounds to earn honors in the All-NBA G League, and also got a 10-day contract with Brooklyn.

After getting 17 minutes of junk during that 10-day deal, Anderson returned to the G League. When the coronavirus pandemic hit, he tried to keep fit and stay on the NBA’s radar.

When the nets were decimated by the coronavirus – Spencer Dinwiddie, DeAndre Jordan and Taurean Prince tested positive and Chandler decided to answer Covid-19’s concerns – Anderson received a call from Agent Mark Bartelstein who was shooting with Brooklyn.

“It was a long process,” said Anderson. “I was in Atlanta training, talking to Mark. And Mark said the season is now over; we just have to understand a team and a place on the roster. He said there are some teams interested.

Brooklyn arrived late with Wilson Chandler acknowledging that he would not go play. They arrived late. In reality they weren’t even on that list, but they came because of the experience I already had with the G League team with the Long Island Nets and my 10-day contract there. They saw potential for me to help them push the playoffs. I remember receiving the call; I woke up, my agent Mark said that we have found a team, someone wants us. Let’s go to Brooklyn. “

A teammate from the University of Virginia of Harris, Anderson was speaking remotely with Mark Jerome and Cavaliers’ assistant Jason Williford, who recruited him to the UVA.

And Anderson talked about Harris, saying that his one-time and future partner kept him on the loop and overcame his indeterminate problem, but he is now 100% in time for the NBA to restart.

“It was audiences who experienced a few things in the beginning, and he is very happy to have gone through what he went through before rather than after, so he is able to thrive. He feels good,” said Anderson.

“It’s what kept me on the loop and kept me updated on what’s going on, basically we just played, how your body is, that’s one of the things we talked about. So it’s nice to have some sort of information to keep in touch and keep me ready, so when I get to the Bubble I can hit the ground running, have a little bit of advantage and not feel like I’m playing. “
