The 17-year-old Jew Bellingham has uncovered online racist abuse he received after moving to Borussia Dortmund.
Bellingham, who played his last game for Birmingham on Wednesday night, posted the news on Twitter saying it was “disgusting”.
The news had described Bellingham as “overrated talent” and said “black people only think about money”.
Bellingham will initially move to Dortmund for £ 25m after the Bundesliga club fought against the competition from most top European teams, including Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and especially Manchester United.
The midfielder injured himself slightly in the 1-3 loss to Derby in Birmingham. The blues were able to avoid relegation from the championship thanks to other results.
An emotional Bellingham returned to the St. Andrew pitch after the final whistle to say goodbye to employees and journalists at the game.
