Collingwood star Jordan De Goey has been charged with sexual assault.
Foxfooty.com.au De Goey and another 24-year-old man were charged with an incident that is said to have occurred in 2015.
The Victoria police provided the following statement foxfooty.com.au on Saturday.

“Detectives of the Sexual Crimes Squad have charged two people with a reported sexual assault,” it said.
“Two 24-year-olds, one from Hampton East and one from Clematis, were indicted for indecent assault and released on bail to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court later.
“The indictment relates to an incident that is said to have occurred in Kew in 2015. Since this matter is now on trial, the police will not comment further.”
Collingwood released a statement on Saturday afternoon.
“Collingwood player Jordan De Goey was indicted today for an indecent attack related to a 2015 historical incident,” the statement said.
“At the urging of Collingwood and with the full support of De Goey, the matter was investigated in 2018 by the AFL Integrity Unit and the Victoria Police. No charges were brought.
“De Goey will remain on the Collingwood football program as the legal process continues.
“Neither Collingwood nor De Goey are able to comment further.”
The statements come a day after De Goey collected 21 departures from Collingwood’s 15-point loss to Essendon at MCG.
De Goey, one of the most famous AFL players, has scored 120 goals in 93 games.
It was designed by Collingwood with Pick 5 in the 2014 national design.
