Hospitalized one of the players of Fuenlabrada confined in a hotel in A Coruña

One of the CF Fuenlabrada players confined in a hotel in A Coruña by Covid has been taken by ambulance to hospital this Friday. According to a statement from the club, his condition “is not serious and it has been decided to move him as a precaution”, according to El Periódico de Catalunya, from the same editorial group of Diari de Girona.

Besides, the Public Prosecutor’s Office of A Coruña has opened an investigation about the trip of this football team and Second Division, in case he had committed a crime by not communicating the coronavirus outbreak that could have been detected last weekend in Madrid and then embark on the journey with the rest of the staff to the Galician city.

“The aim of the investigation is to clarify the facts and determine whether they are of a criminal nature”, according to sources in the Public Prosecutor’s Office, who added that “the procedure is confidential, so the procedure will not be reported until its conclusion”.

The outbreak of the Fuenlabrada triggers an endless storm

This Thursday, A Coruña City Council presented an “extensive” written statement to the Chief Prosecutor of the A Coruña Provincial Court to “clear responsibilities”, in the event that there were any, “criminal” or “Administratively”, for what he considers a “negligence” in this case.
