Hamilton leads in the rain followed by Verstappen and Sainz coming third in the Styria GP

British driver Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) won the pole for the Styria Grand Prix, the second round of the Formula 1 World Championship, and will start from the front row followed by the Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull). Madrid’s Carlos Sainz (McLaren) will do so from third position, after getting his best classification so far on the grid yesterday in a session marked by rain. The reigning champion Hamilton took home the prize with a time of 1: 19.273 thanks to his ability to overcome the uncertainty of the onset of the downpour and a last-minute ferrule from Verstappen. For his part, Ferrari had a disastrous day with Vettel and Leclerc coming out 10th and 11th, respectively.
