Football transfer ticker Football: Werder Bremen is planning a crisis clause

Werder plans to cut salaries in the event of unforeseen events

Werder Bremen plans for future player contracts with a kind of crisis clause. “There are efforts to incorporate such a clause in order to cushion the financial risk after an unforeseen event,” said sports director Frank Baumann to the Weser courier: “I assume that we will include this in the contracts for all players.” Since Baumann does not assume that such a clause will be incorporated into the DFL model contracts, a corresponding passage would have to be agreed individually with all players. “One reduces it by ten percent, the other by 20. We have to see that,” continued Baumann.

Change of job in Unterhaching

Claus Schromm is no longer a trainer at SpVgg Unterhaching. “We had very honest, open conversations. Together we came to the decision that the time is right now that Claus goes off the line,” said club president Manfred Schwabl. Schromm remains in the third division club in a new position, the 51-year-old takes over the sporting management of the club. One of his first tasks: finding a successor.

The Hachingers finished eleventh last season after standing in a promotion place for a long time. It was the third season in a row under Schromm, in which the team weakened after a good first half in the back series. “First you have to sweep in front of your own door and I did that,” said Schromm about retiring as a coach.

Siems moves to the Premier League

German junior international Caroline Siems leaves Turbine Potsdam. After five years with the Bundesliga club, the defender changes to Aston Villa. Trainer Gemma Davis is looking forward to the young German international. “Caro has gained experience as an attacking full-back in the German Bundesliga. Caro is still young and has enormous potential. It will bring an exciting dynamic to our offensive capabilities,” said Davis on Aston Villa’s website.

Siems moved from Viktoria 89 Berlin to Potsdam in 2015. In spring 2020, she decided not to accept the new contract offer submitted by Turbine.

St. Pauli is on the offensive

Daniel-Kofi Kyereh should help that the 2020/21 season at FC St. Pauli is going better than last season. The second division have signed the 24-year-old free of charge from Wehen Wiesbaden. The German-Ghanaian had scored six times for the relegated relegated team in 28 games last season. Kyereh signs a contract until June 30, 2023.
