The club’s coach Jozef Weber, in a conversation with the club’s spokesman, says that the 26-year-old Latvian striker Ikaunieks, who still owns the rights of another Czech club “Jablonec”, has been exchanged for Tomas Ladra, who has started summer training for the “Jablonec” team.

“Tomas was given quite a lot of opportunities on our team, but we felt that his performance was stagnant and we had to try something else,” says the coach. “He has great potential for progress, just like Ikaunieks, who, on the contrary, came to us. He has been rented out several times and has not played in Jablonec due to injuries. I believe that both changes will benefit the footballers.”

The Latvian footballer has been hired to the Mlad Boleslav team until June 30, 2021. The football transfer website “transfermarkt.com” estimates the transfer amount at 300 thousand euros.

Last year, Jablonec had hired a footballer from RFS from July to the end of the year, but in the first half of this year – to the Czech club “Fastav” in Zlin.

In the RFS ranks, Ikaunieks scored six goals in 12 matches and scored twice, but in the ranks of the Zlīna club, the footballer went on the field in only two games, spending a total of 29 minutes on the lawn.

Latvian national goalkeeper Pavel Steinbor, who spent the season at the Polish Premier League club Gdynia “Arka”, has fallen out of the top league, has become the new goalkeeper of Belastok “Jagiellonia”, Polish media reported on Tuesday, including the website “przegladsportowy.pl”.

The Polish mass media reported a week ago that the goalkeeper of the Latvian national team is close to signing a contract with another extra-class team Belastoka “Jagiellonia”.

On Tuesday, the website “przegladsportowy.pl” reported that “34-year-old Steinbor will arrive in Bialystok at any time, and Jagiellonia has completed the search for the first goalkeeper of next season.”

It is reported that the Latvian will join the team and together with other footballers with tests on Thursday and Friday will start preparing for the next season.

It is added that the agreement has not yet been signed, although “it is only a formality, as the two parties reached a preliminary agreement several days ago”. All that’s left is to grind the details.

According to the portal, Steinbor is rated as the best of the players who said goodbye to the league this year. It is noted that as the Gdynia unit has left the Super League, the agreement of the Latvian representative is no longer valid.

The potential replacement of Steinbor is the less than 17-year-old talent Zeiviers Djekonskis, who has played two Premier League games in the ranks of the unit.

The message on the player transfer website “transfermarkt.co.za” in the “Baumas” section was published on Sunday, indicating the market price of the football player at 250 thousand euros.

Last season, the Białystok club took seventh place in the Super League, a point ahead of the eighth place finisher Krister Tobera club Gechanska “Lechia”.
