David Villa is being investigated for alleged sexual harassment

Last Friday a woman who identifies herself as Skyler B (@ItsmeskylerB) made New York City react by claiming to be a former employee of the club and explaining some facts that they would have gone between 2014 and 2018 with harsh accusations about Villa. “I thought I had the opportunity of a lifetime when I got an internship at New York City FC. What I got was David Villa touching me every day, and my bosses thought it was very funny. I guarantee that if anyone mentioned my name to David Villa I wouldn’t know who I am. He never called me by my name. Rarely did a day go by without him taking me or verbally harassing me, but he never bothered to learn my name, ”he wrote.

New York City issued a statement to open an investigation: “We take these allegations very seriously and do not tolerate any kind of harassment in any area of ​​our club.” For its part, Villa defended his innocence assuring that the allegations are “completely false” and that he had no knowledge of them. “So far I have not had any direct communication on this subject, neither from Skyler B nor from the club. Of course, I will cooperate fully. It’s hard to understand why this hasn’t come out before if someone felt uncomfortable, ”he said.
