This week Chelsea have unveiled their 2020-21 home kit, revealing together a new stripped aesthetic and a brand new shirt sponsor.
The abstract mottled motifs (apparently inspired by the architecture of Stamford Bridge) of last year’s shirt are over, replaced by an elegant all-blue number.
The clubs love to sell out in their new kits towards the end of the previous season. And they really want to baptize him with a victory.
Frank Lampard didn’t fully plan the men on Wednesday when they made the trip to face West Ham United at London Stadium.

The new kit is inspired by London’s proud history of fine tailoring, with a subtle herringbone design that helps emphasize the bold new Blues sponsor logo.
We have heard that “Three” is a magic number. #COYB https://t.co/JkKNIAeN7P

It is perhaps appropriate therefore that Chelsea’s swanky 2020-21 shirt was worn for the first time on their midweek trip to the city to face West Ham – a game they lost by a rather unfortunate score.

The perfect symmetry between the terrible result and the number just scalloped on the entire torso of the defeated team of Frank Lampard did not go unnoticed.

After falling into an unfortunate 3-2 defeat in the last minute at the London stadium, Chelsea saw their streak in five games lead to an unceremonious end while wearing big nos. 3 on the central defenders.
Extraordinary commitment to their new Chelsea sponsors for the shipment of three goals in the first kit with the 3 logo on. Business relationships through the roof

Obviously, with three points also magnanimously donated to the Hammers, many Blues fans have been left wondering how much confusion their new sponsors will have.
The three continued to come, as it was also pointed out that Chelsea had missed the opportunity to rise to third place in the Premier League by capitulating in east London.
As might be expected, West Ham was also quick to rub it.
Three. Huge. Points.
