Charlie Nicholas returns with his latest Premier League betting round

Charlie Nicholas is back with his latest Premier League prediction series, and this week he is leaving the top for Man Utd and Man City …

Arsenal vs Norwich, Wednesday – 18:00

Arsenal has not solved its problems.

I was sitting on the edge of my seat in the FA Cup tie when they beat Sheffield United. The lack of rhythm and conviction is disconcerting. Arsenal is captivating when they have the rhythm, but those days are gone. It doesn’t happen as regularly as it happened. I talked about the copy of Manchester City and the way things are going, which I think Mikel Arteta will do.

The midfield players took the ball, Joe Willock was OK and gave the options without the ball. Bukayo Saka is excellent wherever you play, but I’d like to see Reiss Nelson and Ainsley Maitland-Niles play a little bit more.

Full backs used to hit the line when we were good. Ashley Cole and Gael Clichy hit the line and cut the ball backwards. Kieran Tierney is and can be so. He has to learn defensively, but who doesn’t need to do it at Arsenal? Hector Bellerin is no longer close to this, but Tierney is now an ongoing threat.

It’s more promising, but there are still major defense problems. With the previous three, it’s a no thanks to Sead Kolasinac who plays with it. It’s simply a trick with the David Luiz extension. Because? Is she comfortable in the dressing room? Me too! I can come in and be a good boy, and help young people. You won’t take away the negative vibrations it has as a player. Not all of them can be sold, but the signs are more promising in the future.

Norwich is gone and I think the Man Utd game was their last dice roll. To be beaten as they were, they will look at each other and not admit it, but they will know that their time has run out.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has to look at this and think about showing what he has, while he could potentially win the Golden Boot again. He may be next to line up, but I expect Arsenal to be comfortable in winning here.

CHARLIE PREDICTS: 3-0 (17/2 with Sky Bet)

Super 6: Two on the rebound for Arsenal?

A win here for Arsenal will have seen them win two Premier League games in a row. Sticking to number two, over 45% of Super 6 players expect Arsenal to win with two goals to zero. Have your say to land the £ 250k. Play for free. Registration before 18:00 on Wednesday.

Everton vs Leicester, Wednesday – 18:00, live on Sky Sports

I don’t know what’s going on in Leicester.

Everton has gone well since the restart: they should have beaten Liverpool but they can be a mixed bag. Everton also has some good matches planned which can win and should threaten sixth place. If Burnley can be in the position they are in, then Everton should be above them and in and around those European places.

Leicester keeps the ball and can be sorted but they don’t go anywhere. Jamie Vardy doesn’t catch the ball and the runners aren’t there. Leicester ran his course before the break and is trying to recover a pattern.

James Maddison is on the verge of games like Harvey Barnes, but something is missing right now. Are they looking over their shoulder? Brendan Rodgers looks frustrated. They are not doing anything with the ball.

I see Everton making a push for this. These are two decent football teams, but the scenario with the fans who aren’t there takes its toll, and that’s why I’m turning Everton over just to hit him.

CHARLIE PREDICTS: 1-0 (7/1 with Sky Bet)

Super 6: honors too?

A strong 41% of Super 6 participants claimed a 1-1 draw between these two sides, while 48% expect a share of the spoils as a whole. Where will you play your cards, with £ 250k up for grabs? Play for free.

Bournemouth vs Newcastle, Wednesday – 18:00, live on Sky Sports

Newcastle has always been so good at what Steve Bruce has done. They did a reality check against Manchester City and tried to squeeze them. Dwight Gayle missed the opportunity 0-1 and that was a shame, but they will be proud of the way they performed and defended themselves.

Bournemouth will be open and will have to follow it. Brighton created a vacuum, but what does a draw for Bournemouth do now? They also have embarrassing games.

I think Bournemouth will cut it. You keep looking down the lot and no team is going anywhere, but because of what’s going on in Watford and West Ham, Bournemouth will know they can’t keep missing these opportunities.

CHARLIE PREDICTS: 2-1 (9/1 with Sky Bet)

Super 6: 50/50 for the Toon?

After six out of six Newcastle points since the restart, 50% of Super 6 competitors hope that Steve Bruce’s team will leave Vitality Stadium with all three points. This could also be in reference to the way Bournemouth has performed since the restart. Play for free.

West Ham vs Chelsea, Wednesday – 8.15pm, live on Sky Sports

I think David Moyes will do what he did recently and West Ham will sit down, asking where will Chelsea hurt them? That will be on the counter. It will be a bit like the game of the Wolves, in which they seized a couple of opportunities and frustrated them in some periods.

Pablo Fornals missed a glorious opportunity in both games at 0-0, so chances are they will increase. If they follow him, they may be expelled from Chelsea. West Ham will sit tight and try to frustrate them.

Michail Antonio will be important as well as free kicks for West Ham, and Chelsea can give you chances. I think they’ll get something out of it, but they won’t be adventurous. Jarrod Bowen is a handful and should have scored against Tottenham.

Mark Noble and Declan Rice will sit and allow Aaron Cresswell and Ryan Fredericks to advance. They could get something from those areas, but it will be a good point for West Ham.

CHARLIE PREDICTS: 1-1 (13/2 with Sky Bet)

Super 6: more misery for Moyes?

Over 90 percent of Super 6 players are claiming a Chelsea win, as this could aggravate West Ham in relegation places. Just under a third predicted 0-2 to Frank Lampard’s team. Who will you side with? Play for free, registration before 18:00.

Sheffield United vs Tottenham, Thursday – 18:00, live on Sky Sports

I thought Sheffield United was a little better against Arsenal, but I don’t say that as a gigantic compliment.

They made chances but they should have done better with them. Chris Wilder’s team can sometimes be rough and they are kicking fools again.

Tottenham still has problems on the defensive. Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen are not selected, so Jose Mourinho believes that Davinson Sanchez and Eric Dier are the future? Last time they kept a clean sheet, so it could be the same four in this. Their full backs are vulnerable, but Tottenham is strong forward, with Harry Kane also scoring against West Ham, but I see this is a draw.

Sheffield United will be annoyed at losing to Arsenal and the way their league has gone since the restart will be a clear indicator of what needs to improve. They will try to shake Tottenham and get stuck in them. I still think Sheffield United is good enough to take a point from this.

CHARLIE PREDICTS: 1-1 (5/1 with Sky Bet)

Manchester City vs Liverpool, Thursday – 20:15, live on Sky Sports

Liverpool are Premier League champions and congratulations to them. They have been exceptional in every area.

What we will see in this game is an open football game. It should adapt to Liverpool to challenge Manchester City. Kevin De Bruyne was the protagonist: he played an hour against Arsenal after tearing them apart and then the same with Newcastle, so he could rest. Its shape has just continued.

Jamie Carragher believes that Manchester City will fill the gap with newly crowned Premier League champions Liverpool next season – but only if they get their recruitment this summer.

Jamie Carragher believes that Manchester City will fill the gap with newly crowned Premier League champions Liverpool next season – but only if they get their recruitment this summer.

The city won’t try to beat Liverpool to prove a point. They will build for the FA Cup and Champions League semifinal when it arrives. Raheem Sterling scored and played better, which is the same as Riyad Mahrez. David Silva played well as always. It will be one of these fun games.

The goals have been few and far between, but the two sides respect each other, the way they want the ball and use the ball, which is why they will be happy to go head to head. Champions will not be embarrassed to have a low percentage of the ball, but will use the ball superbly when they get it. There will be some magical players on display and I think we will have just that kind of game.

CHARLIE PREDICTS: 3-2 (20/1 with Sky Bet)

Super 6: more misery for Moyes?
