Bruno Caboclo of Houston Rockets stops quarantine

Bruno Caboclo, the Houston Rockets striker, unwittingly terminated the quarantine, making him subject to a long period of quarantine and improved coronavirus tests, according to sources from the ESPN League.

After players entered the league bubble at Walt Disney World Resort last week, anyone who was surprised to leave for an unauthorized reason or broke the initial quarantine period (which involved confinement in your hotel room until they pass multiple coronavirus tests over a longer period of more than 24 hours) they will be subject to the alloy re-entry protocols.

This means having to undergo advanced tests of coronavirus-19, i.e. those with a long swab in the nose, compared to the less invasive ones that players get during their time in the bubble, in addition to a 10-day quarantine period in their room hotel.

Caboclo left his room during the initial quarantine period, according to a source. He was not aware of the fact that he was not allowed to do so, despite the league informing all players and staff of the protocol.

“He should have known,” said the source. “It wasn’t a secret.”

Sources told ESPN that Caboclo’s time in quarantine has now fallen to eight days. He is expected to rejoin the team once the quarantine is complete.

The Rockets are still waiting for the arrival of stars James Harden and Russell Westbrook in Orlando, as well as striker Luc Mbah on Moute. Rocket coach Mike D’Antoni said on Sunday that all three are likely to rejoin the team this week.

Caboclo, 24, was acquired by the Memphis Grizzlies for Jordan Bell and a 2023 second round swap pick. He played 28 minutes in five games for the Rockets and scored 10 points.

Malika Andrews, Zach Lowe and Tim MacMahon of ESPN contributed to this report.
