Barça presents the second kit of the season

Barça and Nike have presented this morning what will be their second kit for the 2020-21 season. The proposal has the color black as the absolute protagonist, as well as different golden details on the neck of the shirt and sleeves.

This is the third time in history that Barça have opted for black on their shirts. The previous two precedents are quite recent and date from the last seasons: the second kit of the 2011-12 season, the last of Pep Guardiola on the bench, and the third of 2013-14, with Gerardo Martino on the bench.

The big news, however, is that gold will replace yellow in the details of the equipment. Both the Barça crest and the Nike logo and sponsors will be gold, as will the player’s number and name, V-neck and sleeve edges. Pants and stockings will also be black, with gold lettering.

As in recent seasons, the new design has generated diversity of opinion among fans. This time, the main reason is its similarity with previous Real Madrid kits, especially by the presence of the color gold instead of yellow. Without going any further, the second t-shirt of this season for the whites was navy blue and gold. However, there are also those who consider that it is a showy model that breaks with the usual aesthetics of recent years, focusing on the use of red and yellow as representative colors of the flag.

The shirt went on sale exclusively this Friday at the various Barça Stores and in the online store. From Thursday 6 August it will also be available at other regular points of sale.
