The competition will be opened by three Road class crews, who will be followed on the track by participants not seen before in the mini rallies – four buggies, the first of which will be piloted by Arturs Priednieks.
In the 1600 class, 17 crews will start in the Gulbene mini-rally, in the 2000 class 20 riders have applied. 12 crews will compete in the 2WD rating. The 2WD ROOKIE class “Swan” will be the most widely represented, with 29 crews participating.
In the 4WD rating, seven crews will go on the track, in the 4WD ROOKIE 13 crews, and 12 participants will compete in the 4WD + category. Four crews will compete in OPEN 4WD class, but nine in OPEN 2 WD. In turn, six participants have applied for the Road test.
Participants will also have the opportunity to compete by joining forces and starting in the team test.
Within the framework of the competition there will be six special stages with a total length of up to 21 km and the total distance of the competition will be 174 km.
The director of the competition Jānis Sniedzāns says that this year, taking into account the epidemiological situation, neither the ceremonial start of the minirally nor the award ceremony will take place in the city center, and once again reminds both participants and spectators of the need to comply with social safety requirements.
For the attention of the participants – the organizers ask to come to the administrative commission during the time of their crew, which will be published on July 31 on the website minirallijs.lv.
