Arsenal Transfer Summary: Gunners watches a £ 32m striker and prepares for Partey

Arsenal may have won the last two games, but there will still be a lot of work for manager Mikel Arteta to do in the next transfer window.

The Gunners defeated hard-hitting Norwich City 4-0 midweek and beat Sheffield United 2-1 last Sunday to reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

But this does not hide the fact that Arteta must free the bridges from the Emirates and bring new faces to give the Gunners a new impetus in the 2020/21 season.

And with limited funds to play with, Arteta will have to work harder than most to find those affordable deals.

Dutch striker “would cost £ 32 million”

Weghorst has scored 16 or more goals in each of his four seasons for Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg forward Wout Weghorst has attracted the attention of clubs from all over Europe, including Arsenal.

The Dutchman has scored 16 goals in 32 appearances for the Bundesliga club this season, with the Gunners being very interested, according to German publication Bild.

The report says that Arteta wants to increase her attack strength because of uncertainties about the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

Weghorst, 27, has scored at least 16 goals in each of his four seasons for Wolfsburg and former club AZ Alkmaar. Bild also said it would cost around £ 32 million.

He may be the player Arsenal needs, but Newcastle United is also believed to be interested.

Partey time at Arsenal

Arsenal face the Napoli competition for Thomas Partey

Arsenal are said to be on pole position to sign Thomas Partey, their main focus this summer.

According to Spanish media AS, the Gunners are ready to triple the current salary of the Atletico Madrid midfielder to bring it to the Emirates.

AS claims that Napoli also has the 27-year-old to replace the Brazilian Allan, and they are ready to offer the striker Arkadiusz Milik in exchange for a part.

However, the Spanish publication claims that the Serie A team will not be able to match the deal that Arsenal has offered to Partey, which has a £ 45 million release clause in its Athletic contract.

Arteta wants Partey to be the focal point of a new midfield next season, with La Razon claiming that the Gunners are ready to match his release clause.

Kolasinac could be part of the defensive exodus

Sead Kolasinac has abandoned the pecking order at Arsenal

Arsenal looks ready for a defensive expulsion this summer, and Sead Kolasinac is reportedly on the list of players who will leave.

The Times says that Arteta wants to sell a number of its central halves, plus full-back Kolasinac.

Arsene Wenger signed the Bosnian national team with a free transfer from the German side Schalke 04 in the summer of 2017.

And, with the expiration of his contract in the summer of 2022, it might make sense for Arsenal to cash in on him sooner rather than later.

Kolasinac, who has made 96 appearances for the club, has gone after Kieran Tierney in the exaggerated order of the Emirates.

Mhiktaryan’s free move could save Arsenal £ 10 million

Henrikh Mkhitaryan could make his move to Rome permanent

The Times also reports that Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be allowed to reach Rome with a free transfer this summer.

The publication states that the Gunners will save up to £ 10 million in wages if they let the Armenians leave for nothing.

Mkhitaryan joined Arsenal in January 2018 as part of the deal that brought Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United.

But the 31-year-old failed to shine in his 18 months in the Emirates and was loaned to Roma earlier this season, where he connected with former United teammate Chris Smalling.
