Arsenal Transfer News Summary: Latest news about John Stones, Thomas Partey and the FA Cup final

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has made clear his desire to bring another half of the pitch this summer, particularly with injured Shkodran Mustafi.

William Saliba is returning to the club, but the Spaniard is eager to add further to his bottom line.

And a mooted player is someone the Arsenal boss knows well: John Stones.

England had a torrid season in Manchester City, and the suggestion is that he will be allowed to leave this summer.

A £ 20 million commission has been made and Ray Parlor believes that Arsenal should make a move

“He’s had a bad time in recent years and hasn’t really gone where they thought he could go.

“But don’t become a bad defender overnight, he just needs that little coaching.

“And that’s where he could be the key to Arsenal because obviously Arteta has worked with him in Man City for the past few years.”

One to keep an eye on.

Elsewhere, Arsenal continues to hope to get a deal for Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey.

The Gunners’ attempts to land the 27-year-old in an exchange agreement with Matteo Guendouzi did not interest Atletico, but could return with another offer.

Atletico asks that the £ 45.6 million release clause be paid in full.

Expect interest to rise after Saturday’s FA Cup final, which will either give European football to Arsenal, or leave them outside to look inside and fight to attract potential reporters.
