Antonio Brown asks to know NFL status on Instagram

Apparently not wanting to be retired again, free agent catcher Antonio Brown demanded that the NFL report his status with the league through his instagram account.

“@Nfl I have complied with every request in your investigations over the past 11 months,” Brown captioned a video of Commissioner Roger Goodell speaking of Brown at the Super Bowl. “You’ve had access to all of my phones, you know what the deal is in every situation that the media has distorted. I saw the therapist you asked me for, I worked all aspects of my life this year, and I became a better man because of it. The fact that you refuse to provide a time frame and the reason why you will not resolve your investigations is completely unacceptable. I ask you to clarify this situation to me immediately if you really care about my well-being.

“My legal team keeps asking questions and you don’t give any answers. How come the league can just drag its feet on any investigation it chooses on players and we just have to stay in limbo? Need an update so I can speak properly to these teams, they are waiting for you @nfl, let’s get this thing moving! We have a story to do !! #Himmothy “

Brown considered via his Twitter account on Monday whether it was time for him to step away from the game given that he is still unsigned and is still under an NFL investigation for numerous possible violations. of the personal conduct policy. This is the third time in the past year that Brown has announced his intention to retire before returning to his career.

Ahead of his Instagram post on Wednesday night, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith posted a video on his Twitter account of Brown working with him on a dimly-lit field.

Brown did not sign for the remainder of the 2019 season after being released by the New England Patriots after just one game. He was sent to pack by the Oakland Raiders after a series of disruptive events with the team before and during training camp last August.

Of note, Brown says he saw a therapist as requested by the league following the spiral of events that left him unemployed and in legal trouble last year. If Brown believes he will have any opportunities to play this season with his more league-defined status, it’s understandable why he would be frustrated with the lack of resolve.
