AFC East Notes: Patriots, dolphins, jets, gas

Before being selected by the Patriots in the third round of the 2016 draft, quarterback Jacoby Brissett wanted nothing to do with New England.

“Honestly, I didn’t want to be there”, Brissett said on the McCourty Twins podcast (via Darren Hartwell of NBC Sports Boston). “When I visited there – my pre-project visit – I said to myself:” Hell no. If a team is writing to me, it’s better not to be them.
