With Mike Zimmer at the head of the Vikings’ defense, we know that everything revolves around the fundamentals.
According to Pro Football Focus, the Vikings had only 85 missed tackles in 2019, a mark that was the lowest in the entire NFL.
Eric Kendricks’ core, Harrison Smith and Anthony Harris were big reasons for this.
Although these three will return to the team in 2020, this defense will be very different with players like Xavier Rhodes, Trae Waynes, Mackensie Alexander, Andrew Sendejo, Linval Joseph and Everyone Griffen playing all elsewhere.
We will see if a younger group can continue with the same success.
