West Midlands police have arrested a 12-year-old boy who has sent racist messages on social networks to Wilfried Zah, a footballer at Crystal Palace in London.
The 27-year-old Côte d’Ivoire footballer received the news on Twitter on Sunday before a away game against Birmingham’s Aston Villa. “Crystal Palace” suffered a loss with the result 0: 2.
“We received a message about a series of racist messages sent to a footballer today. After an investigation and inspection, we arrested the boy. A 12-year-old man from Solihull was arrested,” police said.
Zaha has scored four goals in 35 matches in the English Premier League championship as part of Crystal Palace this season. In his career in the Premier League, he has participated in 212 matches, scored 36 goals and made 24 assists.
