The target of Man United Bellingham will join the Dortmund sources

Borussia Dortmund have won the game to sign Manchester United goal Jude Bellingham, according to ESPN reports, and the club is expected to announce the arrival of the Birmingham midfielder in the coming days for a figure believed to be around £ 20 million.

Bellingham, 16, has also been connected to Chelsea, but his heart is engaged in a transfer to the Bundesliga to follow in the footsteps of international England Jadon Sancho.

Bellingham cannot officially sign a professional contract until he turns 17 on Monday 29 June. The championship season with Birmingham is about to end, which started over the weekend and will end by the end of July.

Dortmund will pay a £ 20 million training fee in the region, in a similar deal that BVB entered into with Manchester City on Sancho in 2018 when the wing joined for a reported compensation fee of € 7 million.

United hoped to land the young man especially after a visit to Carrington’s training ground before the coronavirus pandemic that shocked the world of sports. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hoped to sign the midfielder in January, but the club failed to sign an agreement in the transfer window.

Bellingham has been on Dortmund’s radar since the 2018-19 season and they have been able to convince him with their reputation for introducing the stars of the future into the Champions League and offering them regular Bundesliga experience.

Gio Reyna, 17, became the last teenager to leave for Dortmund in the Bundesliga on Saturday. The German club signed Christian Pulisic at the age of 16 and the U.S. national team left Chelsea last summer.

Dortmund also beat United against Erling Haaland in January. The nineteen was one of the best in this season, scoring 13 goals in his first 14 league appearances.

At 16, Bellingham made 33 league appearances for Birmingham and appeared for 70 minutes in the 0-0 draw at West Brom on Saturday. The midfielder scored four goals and scored three more.

He also represented England at youth level and captained the under-17s in games against Austria and Poland last fall.
