Anthony Edwards, potential choice no. 1 in the NBA Draft, he signed with Klutch Sports Group.
Edwards previously signed with Omar Wilkes of the Octagon in late March, but ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported last week that Wilkes had agreed to become the head of basketball for Klutch Sports. This allowed Rich Paul to broaden his reach as CEO of the company.
Wilkes also represents Trae Young and Cam Reddish of the Atlanta Hawks and OG Anunoby of the Toronto Raptors.
Young also officially joined Klutch, which also represents LeBron James, Ben Simmons, Anthony Davis and Draymond Green. James, Simmons and Davis were all choices n. 1.
6-foot-5 Edwards is currently the # 1 choice. 1 planned in the Draft, for ESPN.com, in front of the James Wiseman center and the Isaac Okoro wing.
“One of the youngest players in the draft, Edwards shot in a season of ups and downs that featured incredible ups and downs,” wrote ESPN’s Mike Schmitz. “Scouts would like to see more efficiency and defensive intensity, but when he was fully engaged, it seemed clear n. 1. In a draft that lacks stellar power at the top, Edwards has probably the most comprehensive track record and should be considered the first runner to hear his name called first. “
Edwards averaged 19.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists in his solo season playing for coach Tom Crean in Georgia.
